URL redirect management, file uploads & administrative payments

Front-Commerce 3.16 brings more autonomy to Cloud customers, enhanced product customization options, and new payment methods for the public sector (Gezy).

This release focuses on Front-Commerce Cloud self-service capabilities for managing URL redirects in the Cockpit, file upload support for product customization, and Gezy-specific features including administrative mandate payments. These improvements help merchants serve their customers better while reducing operational overhead.

Cockpit: Self-service URL redirect management

Cloud customers can now manage their URL redirects independently, without contacting support:

  • View and Download existing redirects - See all configured redirects for your application in one place, and download them as a CSV for offline review and updates
  • Add new redirects - Create redirects instantly when restructuring your catalog or migrating content
  • Remove outdated redirects - Clean up old redirects that are no longer needed
  • Save time and budget - Handle simple redirect operations yourself, without depending on support intervention

Cockpit URL Redirects

This feature gives teams the flexibility to react quickly to SEO needs, content reorganization, or marketing campaigns without waiting for support intervention. You remain in control and can test changes in staging before deploying to production in a risk-free manner.

Gezy: product customization with file uploads

Merchants can now offer file-based product options for platforms supporting it (currently Gezy), allowing customers to upload documents, images, or logos as part of their order:

  • File type control - Define accepted file types (MIME types) to ensure customers upload the right format
  • Size limits - Set maximum file sizes to prevent oversized uploads
  • Visual clarity - The new FileInput component provides clear feedback during upload
  • Cart integration - Files are properly handled throughout the purchasing process

This opens new possibilities for B2B use cases like custom printing, personalized products, or documentation requirements. Customers can now provide the exact specifications they need directly through the storefront.

Gezy: administrative mandate payment

Public sector organizations using Gezy can now use administrative mandate payments (payment by check):

  • Configured payment flow - Display custom instructions and collect required information (SIRET, department code, case number)
  • No payment gateway redirect - Simplified checkout process without external redirects
  • B2G compatibility - Supports public sector procurement requirements

This payment method facilitates sales to government agencies and public institutions by adapting to their specific purchasing workflows.

2.x LTS: Ingenico - Server-to-Server API migration

As per our Front-Commerce 2.x LTS program, we've delivered an important update for customers using Ingenico (formerly Ogone) payments. In this release, we've migrated from the deprecated DirectLink API (being removed after December 31, 2025) to the Server-to-Server API.

The key benefits of this migration include:

  • Continued service - Ensures uninterrupted payment processing beyond December 31, 2025 when DirectLink reaches end-of-life
  • Seamless transition - No changes to your checkout experience or customer-facing functionality
  • Modern authentication - Updated to use API Key/Secret authentication with HMAC-SHA256
  • JSON-based communication - Replaces legacy XML responses with modern JSON format

This migration is essential for 2.x LTS customers to maintain payment functionality. The FlexCheckout tokenization flow remains unchanged, ensuring a smooth transition without disrupting your existing payment setup.

Action required: If you're using Ingenico, refer to our Ingenico dedicated migration guide for detailed instructions on updating your Front-Commerce application.
